Curved stairs can be particularly tricky if you’re struggling to handle steps. We work with leading manufacturers to find the right solution for your staircase. Awkward curves are not a problem. Stairlifts for curved staircases will glide around a bend and can be fitted even if the space is narrow. They are fully remote controlled, with an adjustable seat.

A curved stairlift can be designed to return around both top and bottom posts which provides greater safety for getting on and off. It also frees up the staircase if others wish to use the stairs. Wherever the stairlift starts or finishes, the small footprint and the slimline foldable chair ensures the stairlift doesn’t get in the way when it’s not being used.

If you’ve got a curved staircase that you’re struggling to climb, give us a call and we’ll talk to you about possible solutions.

Straight stairs are usually straightforward! Stairlifts for a straight staircases are the quickest and easiest product to install. As the product only takes a few hours to fit, it’s often something that can be installed quickly. If the need for a stairlift is urgent, like someone returning from hospital, we might be able to put something in on the same day.

The stairlift design will vary slightly between manufacturer, but they all do the same job. Each product includes a chair, perch seat or standing platform which travels on a stairlift rail fixed to the treads of the staircase, not the wall. If you’ve got a straight staircase that needs a lift, we’d be happy to talk to you about options and timescales, get in touch for more information.

Stairlift rental is sometimes the best option. We would never encourage you to buy a product if a rental option is more appropriate. If you’ve got a straight staircase and we need to act fast, it can be possible to get something installed the next day. It can cost as little as £40 a month and gives safety and independence to people who often have enough on their plate, without worrying how they’re going to get upstairs.

There isn’t a minimum rental period, so it’s even an option if you’ve got a visitor coming for a holiday who can’t get upstairs. If it’s a long-term stairlift rental requirement, we’ll help you do the sums so you can work out whether buying a refurbished or new stairlift would be cheaper.

If you’d like to talk about stairlift rental, get in touch for more information.
