A furry friend takes the Flow X stairlift in Caerphilly
We love a challenge and this customer presented us with a beaut! We visited the property and were met with a fantastic bespoke oak staircase in a dormer bungalow.
A beautiful crafted curved staircase but extremely narrow.
The customer had done his own research and knew that a Flow X stairlift was a good product, so we got out the tape measure to see what could be done.
A staircase with a width of just 630mm
We did a detailed 3D survey and scan imaging of the staircase and surrounding structure that confirmed the stairlift would fit. However, we could see that it was very tight, particularly as the customer wanted to keep the existing handrail.
An agreement to adapt on the day of installation
We explained to the customer that the lift would fit but the existing handrail may have to be removed or adapted in places. The customer agreed to the suggestion we would make slight adjustments to the handrail if necessary when the lift was installed.
A stairlift that twists and turns perfectly
Amazingly, when it came to installation our team were able to keep the handrail in tact. The stairlift winds its way around three full tight turns with multiple angles. The lift is moves alongside obstacles as it ascends and descends the small tight staircase.
