A straight swap, a bath for a walk-in shower in Rhiwbina
We had a call from a customer with a problem. A recent fall meant she couldn’t lift her leg to get in the bath.
Having worked with our team to install a stairlift, she knew just who to call when her home was feeling inaccessible.
After a conversation it became clear that the customer didn’t want a new bathroom – she wanted a quick solution. The easiest way to create a safe, accessible place to wash is to install a walk-in shower in your existing bathroom.
A walk-in shower is often the same size as a bath
As the footprint for many walk-in showers is the same as a bath, it is very easy to take out a bath and replace it with a shower. This has little impact on the rest of the bathroom. It’s a cost effective and fast way to make a change.
Minimal bathroom disruption with a walk-in shower
We were able to keep the existing flooring and make minimal changes to the bathroom to make it work more effectively for the customer. As well as the shower, we installed a grab rail and changed the light. We made sure that the shower tray was as low as possible, so the customer did not have to step up.
Repeat customer for Adaptmyhome
This customer was not new to our team, she got in touch with us because we had also fitted a stairlift in her property. All our customers leave 5 star reviews and many come back to us if they need further adaptations done in their homes.
