Workmanship Warranty
Adaptmyhome Warranty Information
At Adaptmyhome, we want you to feel confident in the quality of our work and the products we install. This page explains your workmanship warranty, product warranties, statutory rights and how to request assistance.
1. Workmanship Warranty – 12 Months Standard
All installation work carried out by Adaptmyhome employees is covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty. If any issue arises because of how the installation was carried out, we will put it right at no cost to you.
What’s covered
- Installation faults caused by our workmanship
- Free labour
- Free call-out
What’s not covered
- Product faults (unless Adaptmyhome supplied the goods)
- Wear and tear or consumable items
- Accidental damage or misuse
- Water, drainage or electrical issues outside our work
- Damage caused by third-party trades
- Faults unrelated to our installation
2. Your First 12 Months – Statutory Protection (When We Supply the Goods)
If Adaptmyhome supplied the goods, all faults within the first 12 months are covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This includes:
- Product faults
- Manufacturer defects
- Installation or workmanship issues
You will receive:
- Free parts
- Free labour
- Free call-out
This applies unless the fault is caused by accidental damage, misuse, lack of maintenance or external issues such as electrics, water pressure or drainage problems.
3. If You Supplied the Product
If you provide the product yourself (for example a shower, tap, toilet, screen, pump or any similar item), Adaptmyhome’s responsibility is limited to workmanship only for 12 months.
In these cases:
- Installation faults within 12 months are corrected free of charge
- Product faults must be taken up with the retailer or manufacturer that supplied the goods
- Our call-out, labour and diagnosis for product faults are chargeable unless caused by incorrect installation
4. Manufacturer Product Warranties
Most products we install include a manufacturer’s product warranty. As standard, these warranties are usually 12 months. Depending on the brand, manufacturers may offer extended cover of:
- Up to 5 years, or
- Lifetime cover
Extended product warranties are provided directly by the manufacturer. Their own terms apply and, in all instances, their decision is final, whether the warranty is handled directly with them or managed through us. Product warranties may also require registration.
What manufacturer warranties include
- Replacement parts if a manufacturing fault is confirmed
What manufacturer warranties do not include
After the statutory first 12 months, manufacturer warranties generally cover parts only. They do not cover:
- Our labour to inspect or diagnose a fault
- Call-out charges
- Labour to replace or fit parts
- Any required access equipment (towers, scaffolding etc.)
Even if a manufacturer supplies the part free of charge, our labour and call-out remain chargeable unless covered by a service contract.
5. Optional Service Contracts (Where Available)
Some products may qualify for an optional Service Contract, which can offer extended cover or additional benefits. These contracts are not available for all installations.
If no service contract is available, or if you choose not to take one out, your workmanship warranty remains 12 months.
6. Call-Outs & Labour – What You Pay
Faults within 12 months (goods supplied by Adaptmyhome):
Free parts, free labour, free call-out.
Workmanship faults within 12 months:
Free labour and free call-out.
Product faults after 12 months (no service contract):

All costs chargeable.
7. Call-Outs for Fault Diagnosis
- Faults within 12 months (goods supplied by Adaptmyhome): Call-out and diagnosis are free, and any repair or replacement is included.
- Workmanship issues within 12 months: Call-out and diagnosis are free, and any corrective work is included.
- Customer-supplied products: We can diagnose the problem, but product faults are not covered by any warranty from us. Call-outs for diagnosis are chargeable unless the issue was caused by our installation.
- Product faults after 12 months (no service contract): Call-outs for diagnosis are chargeable. Manufacturer parts may still be available if covered under their warranty.
- Customers with a service contract: Call-out rules depend on the terms of your service contract. Some visits may still be chargeable—please refer to your service contract for details.
