Salary: £11.44 to £16 per hour depending on experience
Contract: Permanently Employed or Contract (TBA)

Adaptmyhome is an expert home adaptation company, based in Cardiff. The company was created by Lee Yanez. Lee wanted to build a business around his three decades of experience working in construction, renewable energy and building services. Following some monumental life challenges, Lee realised that quality of life and enjoying the home you love, is a big deal!

He decided to use all his trade experience and passion for home technology to start a company that would specialise in home adaptation.

About the job

This role requires a helpful, pro-active individual with an eye for quality and customer care. Many of our customers are older or vulnerable people. It is extremely important that you are friendly, tidy and respectful.

This role could suit a semi-retired person looking for occasional work, or someone looking to learn more about the trades, as you will be working alongside qualified people. No experience is necessary, but knowledge of building trades would be helpful. You will be working closely with our company owner, Lee Yanez, all over Cardiff and South Wales.

Key responsibilities include:

Working with a partner to fit and install home adaptation products, such as stairlifts and home lifts.
Working to adapt houses to make them more accessible for people with mobility issues by installing new kitchens and bathrooms.
Maintaining quality workmanship.
Maintaining a tidy work area.

Essential requirements:

Positive, friendly attitude with a good attitude to customer service.
The ability to follow instructions.
The ability to cope with heavy lifting.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on more technical responsibility over time.

Desirable requirements:

The ability to drive and have your own transport.
